When you’re a customer of a SkyTeam member airline, you’re in a special class of flyers. Travel on a valid SkyTeam flight1 and earn miles in your frequent flyer program towards SkyTeam Elite status. With SkyTeam Elite or Elite Plus, you receive special benefits when traveling on SkyTeam carriers.

Lounge Access

International First and Business Class passengers as well as SkyTeam Elite Plus members2 traveling in Economy Class enjoy complimentary access to most SkyTeam partner lounges worldwide. Simply present your same-day ticket for an international SkyTeam airline flight. As a SkyTeam Elite Plus passenger, you can even invite a guest to join you in the lounge.

Guaranteed Reservation on Sold-Out Flights

You are assured a confirmed Coach/Economy Class reservation on any SkyTeam long-haul flight worldwide — even one that’s sold out. Simply make your reservations at least 24 hours before departure and purchase a full-fare Economy Class ticket.3

Priority Baggage Handling

Spend less time at the baggage carousel. Special baggage tags indicate checked luggage belonging to SkyTeam Elite Plus members. These bags are delivered expeditiously to the baggage-claim area.

Priority Check-in

Check in faster. You can check in at priority positions at most airports simply by showing your SkyTeam Elite or Elite Plus Frequent Flyer membership card. Priority check-in positions include:

  • Aeromexico — Clase Premier counters
  • Air Europa — Club Business counters
  • Air France — La Premiere First Class / Affaires Business Class counters
  • Alitalia — Magnifica / Prima Business Class counters
  • China Southern Airlines — Business Class Counters
  • CSA Czech Airlines — Business Class counters
  • Delta Air Lines — First Class / Business Elite / Medallion counters
  • KLM Royal Dutch Airlines — World Business / Business Class counters
  • Korean Air — First Class / Business Class counters for Elite Plus members / Morning Calm counters for Elite members
  • TAROM Romanian Air Transport — Business Class counters
  • Vietnam Airlines — Business Class counters

Preferred Seating

There’s a seat with your name on it. Based on availability, SkyTeam representatives make every effort to accommodate your seating preference. As a SkyTeam Elite or Elite Plus passenger, you can reserve one of a number of select seats at time of booking.4

Priority Boarding

Get there before everybody else. Simply show your SkyTeam Elite or Elite Plus Frequent Flyer membership card to board early for more time to locate your seat and store carry-on luggage. Or, if you prefer, you can board at your convenience.5

Priority Reservation Waiting List

If your desired class of service is not available when booking travel, you have priority status on the reservation waiting list (provided waiting lists are accepted on the flight and/or in your desired class).

Priority Airport Standby

You will receive priority status on your requested flight's standby list.6

Elite Qualification Miles

You earn Elite qualification miles on all valid SkyTeam airline flights1 worldwide toward Elite status in the Frequent Flyer program of your choice.
